The Sector Qualifications Strategy (SQS) aims to ensure qualifications and other learning programmes are more effective in equipping people with the skills employers want.
This in turn will help boost productivity of the UK.
The SQS aims to review existing qualifications and identify necessary changes. It will also recommend losing qualifications that are not fit for purpose and will pinpoint gaps within occupational groups and create new qualifications.
