WOMEN AND WORK

Asset Skills is offering individuals and employers the opportunity to become involved with the development of women in the workplace by participating in the Pathways Initiative Project - WOMEN AND WORK
Asset Skills Women & Work Information Session.

There are three strands to the project:

1. To enhance the literacy and numeracy skills of women in the industry

2. To provide a focussed skills needs analysis and facilitate training to enable women to access team leader and management roles

3. To promote opportunities for access into management positions

The project lifetime is until March 31st 2008, it offers opportunities for 1000 women to be supported in the project strands, with up to 90% of the costs of the activity met by the project funds.

Two Project Executives, five Project Managers and Project Administration have been appointed by Asset Skills to enable them to be highly responsive to employers’ enquiries and to support them throughout their participation in the initiative.

The Project Managers will assist in analysing needs, facilitating the resulting provision and monitoring progress on behalf of employers and the project.  They are regionally based to enable employers’ easy access to the support and guidance that they might need.
