A new management and leadership qualification to support housing associations deal with change and change management is to be developed and piloted by Asset Skills.
Asset Skills Cymru is working with housing employers in Wales to shape this new qualification which attracts 70% funding for SMEs and 50% funding for larger organisations.
The project is funded by the Welsh Government's Sector Leadership Fund with additional support from the European Social Fund.
It will produce a level 4/5 qualification (about foundation degree level) which will take around six months to complete on a part time basis.
To take this forward, the Asset Skills UK Academy in Wales has met to discuss the qualification with interested employers.
Following procurement via Buy4Wales, two training providers have now been contracted to develop and deliver the qualifications:
Awbery Management Centre will be running two induction days for potential candidates and employers on Thursday 6 September (Swansea) and Friday 7 September (Cardiff).
