Phase 1 -Skill Needs Assessment

Purpose

The purpose of stage 1 was to produce a robust evidence base on current and future skill needs in the sector. Asset Skills completed the skills needs assessment in March 2006. A series of reports have been produced which include a UK wide report, one for each of the nine English regions, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland and for the housing and cleaning industry. Each of these reports provide information on the profile of the Asset Skills sector, factors driving the demand for skills, current skill needs, future skills needs and priorities for the sector skills agreement.

The SSA is currently in the process of being updated.
