Interserve Plc is a FTSE support services group with an annual turnover of more thank £1.25 billion, employing over 13,000 personnel worldwide. The group operates through five subsidiary companies of which Interserve fm is one of these five subsidiaries. It provides outsourced support services through facilities management contracts and in 2004 had a turnover of £450 million. Interserve fm employs approximately 4500 staff in the UK. L&Q was formed in 1963 and registered with the Housing Corporation in 1975. Today, they are the third largest Housing Association in England. They manage a stock of 42,000 properties and house 78,000 residents, mainly across London and the South East. L&Q specialise in the provision of affordable rented housing for families on low income, public service workers and those who need additional support, such as the elderly, people with disabilities and special needs, young people and ex-homeless people.
