The vocational qualifications system is changing to become more responsive to the specific needs of employers. The content of qualifications will cover what employers want so people get the right skills for the job at the right time. The reforms currently underway mean employer influence is central to the system.
The qualifications listed below are currently available to employers in the Asset Skills footprint. We are working with employers, awarding organisations and the qualifications regulator to ensure their transition to the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). This is a new way of recognising skills and qualifications by awarding credits for qualifications and units (small steps of learning).
Asset Skills is also defining and developing new qualifications as part of this process.
