Asset Skills has been working with a wide range of stakeholders in the Property and Caretaking sector, including employers, professional bodies and training providers, to develop suites of National Occupational Standards (NOS) and qualifications for Operatives and Managers.
This represents a significant development for the sector and the first suite of standards to be produced, from scratch, for Operatives (Level 2) in this discipline. The work will also bring the existing standards for Managers (Level 3), last reviewed in 2006/7, fully up to date.
The project is now entering a crucial development stage where wider consultation with the industry is required. This stage will provide vital information on both sets of draft standards and proposed qualification structures.
The questionnaires and supporting documents accessible via the links below cover the draft standards and qualification structures at Levels 2 and 3. Now we are asking the industry to review the NOS and qualification structures, and feedback as to their relevance. Please choose the suite of NOS most relevant to your job role, or of which you have most experience and knowledge – operative level at Level 2 and first line manager/supervisor level at Level 3.
For further information on the project, please read the Project Overview.
To see how the standards have changed from draft one, read the Unit Development Record.
