Revised Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) National Occupational Standards Questionnaire

The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) and the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) have commissioned Asset Skills to review and revise the National Occupational Standards (NOS) for the Energy Performance of Building Directive (EPBD) related Energy Assessment NOS.

The project has analysed the changes to energy assessment and certification requirements with specific reference to the creation, issuing and lodgement of Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for domestic, non-domestic and operational ratings National Occupational Standards, covering existing buildings only.

It has also incorporated feedback on current EPC arrangements, with a view to enhancing the content of the NOS. The project is being overseen by a Project Board consisting of DECC, DCLG and the Devolved Administrations and a Steering Group of key stakeholders and employers.

The revised NOS have taken into account the feedback from practitioners.
