Consultation on Commercial Energy Advice Standards

As part of the Government's agenda for carbon reduction and energy efficiency Asset Skills has developed National Occupational Standards (NOS) for those giving advice on energy use in both the home and in all types of commercial buildings. The home advice NOS already form the basis of a new qualification on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). We are now in the early stages of developing NOS for commercial energy advice and are seeking your feedback on the draft NOS. These deal with the generic skills required by all commercial energy advisers.

A further set of standards will be developed for those highly specialist technical areas of advice such as heating, lighting, air conditioning etc. and we are seeking contact with organisations who provide this whole system and major refit consultancy.
