From the 30th January Asset Skills is due to start using the new Apprenticeship Certification System for England (ACE). This is a new online system similar to the one used in Scotland and can be accessed at: ace.apprenticeships.org.uk/
With the introduction of the new system the cost of certificates will be £22.00 and each certificate will have a seal - gold for Higher apprenticeships, silver for Advanced apprenticeships and bronze for Intermediate apprenticeships.
Training providers will have until the end of March 2012 to transfer over to the new system, but if you continue to use the paper based system, i.e., the existing system, during February and March, £25 remains the cost.
Training providers will be required to register with Asset Skills as part of the new ACE system where there is a link on their home page for provider registrations. There is also a PDF user manual for the system and an online eLearning Tool which provides a range of "How to" videos for providers.
