Increasing investment in higher level skills

This pilot aims to increase the number of higher education institutions collaborating with industry to produce work-ready graduates.

As part of this, we'll be running a World of Work scheme where classroom tutors will do work experience in the industries we represent - housing, facilities management, property, planning, cleaning and parking.

There will also be a Work Experience Week for students, helping employers access a pool of graduates with work-relevant skills and know-how.

This programme is funded by the Employer Investment Fund, administered by the UK Commission for Employment and Skills.

We would like to hear from employers interested in learning more about the scheme, and how it could benefit their organisation.
