The Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) is the professional body for people involved in housing and communities.

It is a registered charity and not-for-profit organisation. It has a diverse and growing membership of over 22,000 people in the public and private sectors - living and working in over 20 countries.

The CIH exists to maximise the contribution that housing professionals make to the wellbeing of communities.

It has nine regional committees in England and National Business Units in Cymru, Northern Ireland and Scotland. It also has a branch in Asia. Each committee is drawn from and serves the local membership base.

CIH Northern Ireland

The CIH currently has over 500 members from Northern Ireland. Members work for a number of organisations including the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, housing associations, the private sector, voluntary organisations and academic institutions.
