Asset Skills have developed a new brochure 'Developing higher level skills in housing'. The guide lists all the higher level qualifications available in the UK along with case studies from each nation. Click here to access the brochure
The Higher Education (HE) pages on the website are now complete and include an update on foundation degrees in England as well as explanations, qualification listings for all sectors in all nations, useful links and general information. Click here to visit the higher education pages
HE forums are now running in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The forums are an opportunity for Further Education (FE) and HE institutions to meet and discuss planned activities, issues and any national changes. A property HE forum is also in place. Asset Skills has plans to start a Facilities Management forum this year.
Asset Skills has produced a framework to guide institutions developing Foundation Degrees within the footprint. This includes an early dialogue form for institutions to complete at the planning stage. The Foundation Degree Sectoral Framework can be accessed here
This is just a taster of the projects that are underway. A number of new areas of development for HE and housing have been identified and we will be working hard to get them to approval stage in the coming weeks.
