The Sector Skills Council for the places where we live and work
Asset Skills are working with the British Pest Control Association (BPCA) and the National Pest Technicians Association (NPTA), through the Pest Control Education and Training Forum to support the development and promotion of qualifications and specialist technical training for the pest control industry.
Information on training and qualifications are available from both the BPCA and the NPTA. Current industry qualifications, the Level 2 Certificate in Pest Control and the advanced Level 3 qualification accredited by the Royal Society for the Promotion of Health, are included in the Asset Skills Sector Qualification Strategy. We are working closely with the sector to ensure that these qualifications fit the needs of the industry and reflect future developments in the qualifications and curriculum framework.
Asset Skills are working to have the qualifications in pest control accredited by the Royal Society for the Promotion of Health included as part of the Train to Gain service which doesn't currently cover vocational qualifications. The certificates in Pest Control have been listed by Asset Skills as part of the future flexibilities that we hope to negotiate to come within the Train to Gain offer.
