A Skills Toolkit (Jul 08)

The Guide has been produced for use across the SSC network. It is primarily targeted at employers but contains useful information for anyone interested in the development of skills for working life.

The document includes several tools which an employer can use to introduce employability skills development and awareness to their business including the Employability Matrix. It also presents the business case for employability plus links to other support and information which is available including Train to Gain and the Skills Pledge.

Employability Matrix Mapping Tool (Apr 08)

This mapping tool is designed for use by Awarding Bodies to inform the development of employability qualifications.

It can also be used by anyone wishing to view a distilled list of employability skills commonly required by employers.

Employability Strategy (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales) (Apr 07)

The following employability strategies have been produced for each devolved administration to provide the direction and scope for the employability project.

The strategies were developed by Asset Skills and agreed by the SfBN Employability Task Group.
