The Guide has been produced for use across the SSC network. It is primarily targeted at employers but contains useful information for anyone interested in the development of skills for working life.
The document includes several tools which an employer can use to introduce employability skills development and awareness to their business including the Employability Matrix. It also presents the business case for employability plus links to other support and information which is available including Train to Gain and the Skills Pledge.
This mapping tool is designed for use by Awarding Organisations to inform the development of employability qualifications. The previous version (Version 2) will be able to be used up to the end of 2009. The 2009/10 can be used from 1 Aug and will be reviewed in 18 months time.
