Employability reports and case studies

Asset Skills, the lead Sector Skills Council for employability across all SSCs, has produced three reports investigating the impact of employability qualifications. The initial research was undertaken in late summer/autumn 2010, with the reports being compiled in December 2010 for release in 2011.

Report 1 - Employability Content in Vocational Qualifications

This report investigates the inclusion of employability skills within "high take up" sector-specific qualifications such as Apprenticeships and NVQs.

Report 2 - Analysis of Employability Qualification Data

This report analyses information collated on generic employability qualifications from Awarding Organisations and the National Data Service (NDS).

Report 3 - Case studies: The Impact of Employability Qualifications

The case studies review the impact of generic employability qualifications in a number of settings from a learner, provider and an Awarding Organisation perspective.
