Cross Sector Skills

The Cross Sector work of Asset Skills is diverse and includes employability, adult literacy, language and numeracy, management and leadership and customer care.

These are cross sector skills; skills that support the main business of a company or organisation. They are vital to the success of business and are a common cause of companies' failure to succeed or progress when they are not addressed.

Asset Skills is the lead Sector Skills Council for employability and literacy, language and numeracy across the Alliance of Sector Skills Councils.

The cross sector team is part of the Research and Development Directorate.
