Development of a student forum

Planned spring 2011

To help reduce the risk of candidates failing to complete the qualifications for which they have registered, the UK Academy will establish a student forum along the lines of that successfully run by the Open University.

The forum will allow candidates in remote locations to share experience and discuss problems under the supervision of a moderator.

The forum will be:

• Password protected
• In partnership with the provider to ensure any significant issues that arise can be addressed by a relevant person
• Moderated
• Diary enabled to allow reminders to be sent of deadlines for course work etc.
