Development of a student forum

To help reduce the risk of candidates failing to complete the qualifications for which they have registered, the UK Academy will establish a student forum along the lines of that successfully run by the Open University.

The forum will allow candidates in remote locations to share experience and discuss problems under the supervision of a moderator. This is of particular relevance to the FM sector where individuals may work in isolated locations with little contact with other students.

The forum will be:

• Password protected
• In partnership with provider to ensure issues are addressed by a relevant person
• Moderated
• Diary enabled to allow reminders to be sent of deadlines for course work etc.
