Developing National Occupational Standards and qualifications is a core activity for Asset Skills and has resulted in a new suite of qualifications (National Vocational Qualifications and Apprenticeships) becoming available this year in the facilities management and cleaning sectors.
The role of the UK Academy for Business Services is to promote the availability of those qualifications and other training programmes to employers and to facilitate the registration process.
The Academy will also develop pilot programmes with providers, recruit candidates (often from collaborative groups of employers) monitor progress and help source any available funding.
In addition, Asset Skills has also submitted bids to pilot a number of new qualifications in the home countries as well as in the regions of England. As bids are approved details will be made available to employers through the UK Academy where we will actively seek candidates.
The training and qualifications pages of this site will therefore contain details of all courses as they become available to us. We will be pleased to provide further information either by email at ukacademy@assetskills.org or phone on 0844 822 2525.
We hope to extend the range of qualifications and training courses as the Academy develops and will notify members when new material is added.
